Now that we're firmly in the grip of winter weather, you may be sad that your cruising days are over for a few months - unless you're one of the lucky ones who heads south when the weather gets cold.
But this is actually an exciting time of year for us, as it's when we start planning our trips to the various boat shows in January and February. These shows are an amazing chance to check out what's new in the boating world, and we always love connecting with colleagues and customers from near and far.
This year, we're particularly excited about checking out the new AB Inflatables 17' Oceanus VST at the Seattle Boat Show (Jan. 23-Feb. 1).
It's the first time this new RIB has been shown in the Pacific Northwest, and we're interested to see its brand new design.
They've retooled the console and few water system, and with rich new upholstery, it's not just for sport, but for luxury as well. Also, its fibreglass hull makes for easier upkeep and keeps the light weight you expect in a tender. And the new design with an extra-deep V-hull virtually eliminates spray, making it an unrivalled ride.
We're also looking forward to the Vancouver International Boat Show (Jan. 21-25), which features all kinds of hands-on boating experiences, as well as great educational, indoor opportunities. We particularly look forward to the floating show at Granville Island, where you can step aboard any number of boats - from small sailboats to the new Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Falkins Class Type II Vessel, or the gorgeous Bluewater Cruising Association's off-shore-ready yacht, and picture yourself cruising in style.
If you want to join us at either of these boat shows, visit our boat shows page for more info and links to tickets.
